In this article I will show you the way you'll stop your dogs bad behavior.
When you're out walking, perpetually have a lead on your dog then you're in control of him. It's natural for a dog to be aggressive towards another.
If it's something you feel you can't live with, attempt a distraction technique, take a "dog treat" with you and offer that to your dog once in a very while. Attempt rewarding your dog, get him to appear at you rather than the opposite dog and reward him with treats. Do not go to close to the other dog at 1st, treating him constantly for his attention and as time goes on move a very little nearer, but be prepared to move away if he gets distracted by the opposite dog. Continually place yourself between your dog and the opposite animal, speak to him and attempt to calm your dog down.
As he starts being aggressive you switch the opposite manner, once he calms down you'll be able to start walking towards the opposite dog, he gets aggressive once more you turn around again. It could take a while, however your dog will learn that if he cannot be nice he doesn't get to see any dogs.
Finally however not least, here are some tips for you:
one: Take your dog to parks where there are more dogs, however try to stay enough distance therefore that your dog sees the other dogs, however does not react.
a pair of: Strive to induce your dog to focus his attention on you before he notices another dog approaching.
3: Pull your dog's leash sideways instead of straight as the opposite dog approaches. Pulling straight towards you will only enable your dog to remain grounded and in control. Sideways can create him less balanced and provide you better management of the situation.
4: Distract your dog by dropping a can of stones if he starts to act aggressively. Don't yell. That will only condition him to associate your negative reaction with alternative dogs.
five: Cut back the space between your dog and alternative dogs gradually. Reward him with a treat for his calm behavior and willingness to pay attention to you rather than fixating on alternative dogs. Once you are feeling that your dog will be relaxed while walking shut to alternative dogs, you can begin the positive association process.
vi: Prepare to introduce your dog to a different dog that's passive. Have your dog on a leash and the other dog hung on a leash by his guardian. Meet somewhere neutral, ideally a place your dog has never been. If he feels prefer it's his territory, he can view the opposite dog as an intruder.
seven: Read your dog's body language when he meets the other dog. If he stiffens up, stares directly at the opposite dog for a chronic period, has raised hair, growls, pulls on the leash to succeed in the other dog, or has a stiff tail, end the meeting for the time being. Walk the dogs in read of each alternative while talking to your dog in a cheerful tone.
8: Repeat this method with the identical dog or different dogs on different days
9: Enroll your dog in an obedience category with a trainer who understands the sources of dog aggression if the previous steps do not work. Cluster training typically works better than one-on-one coaching for dogs that are dog aggressive.
Hopefully this article helped you numerous to stop your dogs bad behaviour towards other dogs/people.
