Yoga teachers can only start off with a 200 hour certificate first, and if they want to continue further to the 500 hours, they can. For the ones who desire, it is still available but it is not mandatory to have a 500 hour certificate.

If this is really what you want to do, you should be financially ready for what they are going to be paying. Some of them only last about a month, depending on the program that one chooses. They can last up to 6 months to a year, but the time of meeting is not going to be the same as with classes that only last a month. Because you will be spending a lot of time with them, the key to learning how to become a yoga teacher is to learn liking the instructors that are teaching everyone else. It is totally up to you to pay attention and becoming successful throughout this entire process.
