As you have probably gathered, there are a myriad of perfumes out there to choose from. So many, in fact, that it can sometimes seem an impossible task to choose the right fragrance that suits your life style, personality or even a special occasion. In the following article I will illustrate some ideas that may assist you in making the right choice for you.

Lets Start With Your Budget.

Not only is there a vast range of perfumes, the price range can be just as wide. You will find the cheaper colognes, right up to the more expensive designer fragrances that you might require to apply for financing. Before you start your search make sure you have a budget in mind, this will help you narrow the field some what, thus saving you some time and effort wandering aimlessly around the shops.

Have An Idea Of A Fragrance That Appeals To You And Target That.

If you are looking for a fragrance for a particular occasion, a wedding , for example, for this type of occasion choose something floral, or a party, wear something that makes a grand statement about you and your personality, or maybe you want to woo that special someone, then it may be worth trying to find out what fragrance turns him or her on, or it may just be an everyday scent that you require, then consider a light, fresh perfume.

Other things to consider, when choosing a perfume, are the climate and time of year. If, for example, you reside in a humid environment, fragrances that are floral with a musky or woody foundation are a great choice. If you are going to a party or attending a gathering of a number of people may I suggest not wearing a strong perfume, as some people may be adversely affected with the result that you may have a void around you, better to wear a fresh citrus or herb fragrance. If out on an amorous or seductive date then something a little stronger yet not sickly or so strong that it overpowers the mood, you don t want your date to pass out do you?

Don t Rush.

When you are sure in your mind as to the type of fragrance you want, it is time to hit the shops. Do not be tempted to just start spraying willy nilly (not a perfume name) all over your body, this will be counter productive and you will most likely get a head ache, I know I have done it. Spray the perfume on to a test card first then discard the test card for a fresh one should you want to try another. If you find one that you like, then this is the time to try it on your wrist, if the salesperson offers to spray it on them to test DON T! as they may be covered in other pong s. Once sprayed on yourself wander around for a while and smell again as, very often, your opinion may change.
